With 3-4 stem spreading, grassy leaves.
Base of the flower broader than the top giving a distinctive fat-bottomed look. Dorsal often upturned. Midrib of labellum raised, usually reddish, the tip constricted and twisted somewhat to the right.
July - October.
Lowland: common. Found only in kauri forest or remnants. Northland to Bay of Plenty.
Delicate nodding flower with rolled sepals. Sometimes the labellum is red.
Usually associated with kauri, medium sized nodding flower, upturned dorsal tip.
