With an upright leaf tapering to a point, rough to the touch.
Flowers
Mauve pink with rounded petals and sepals. Column white, top rolled over and opening forwards, topped with a broad yellow band as it arches forward, with two teeth on each side at the lower, forward edge of the yellow band. Column arms with dense white cilia.

Lowland, scrub on clays. Northland.
Conservation
Local, scattered; at risk - naturally uncommon.
Notes
A similar plant was found at Shag Point, Otago.

Leaf rough, column erect, scarcely rounded over to a broad, yellow margin, with a pair of short, broad teeth.
