To 40cm tall robust.
Flowers
Up to six white, pink or blue, heavily striped, 15mm diameter. Column tall, top rounded, with a slightly rolled yellow tip and a warty, reddish band at the back. Column arms bent inward with tooth-like lobes towards the bases, cilia yellow grading to brown with age.
Flowering
November - January.
Habitat
Scrub, pakihi, damp clay banks.
Conservation
Widespread but never abundant, usually just a few plants, not threatened.
Notes
One of the few taxa with striped flowers, easily distinguished by the arched, yellow tipped top to the column. A sterile hybrid (backcross) between T. longifolia and T. pulchella.
