Plant

12-40cm tall. Flowers erupt from the side of the tubular leaf, leaving the free tip among the flowers.

Flowers

Up to 30, cream to green with reddish base uppermost.

Flowering

February - May.

Habitat

Locally common in gumland scrub and winter wet clays, often with sundews and sedges. South to Nelson.

Conservation

Can be locally abundant at suitable sites but naturally uncommon.

Notes

Very similar to G. nudum but sometimes with more flowers.

Key features

The leaf extends into the flower spike flowers dominantly creamy green.
