Plant

To 1 m tall with up to 40 fragrant flowers.

Flowers

Column long and visible at opening of flower. Labellum tip black.

Flowering

December - January.

Habitat

Forest and kanuka scrub. Wairarapa and Nelson.

Conservation

Known from a few sites. Threatened - Nationally Critical.

Notes

Can be as tall as but is less robust than G. molloyi.

Key features

Knobbly flower with a long column and black tipped labellum visible at the tube mouth.
