Plant

To 10cm tall, leaf lax to 10 cm.

Flowers

Usually solitary, white to pink or pale mauve, internally with cerise bars. Two rows of orange topped calli to midlobe base; midlobe curled under and orange tipped, often with an orange marginal callus on each side.

Flowering

August - October.

Habitat

Open manuka/kanuka scrub.

Conservation

Can be locally abundant, not threatened but naturally uncommon.

Notes

Early flowering compared with other similar Caladenia.

Key features

Orange tip to labellum, often curled under; variable flower colour - usually white but from pink to deep red, often at the same site.
