Plant

To 25cm tall.

Flowers

1-2, pale pink with a greenish tinge to the dorsal sepal. Back of column bright green with pink glandular hairs and pink anther, labellum red barred with two rows of yellow topped calli between the wings, often with extra scattered calli.

Flowering

November - December.

Habitat

Lowland to montane in well lit native forest, manuka scrub and exotic pine.

Conservation

Scattered, not threatened but naturally uncommon.

Notes

Often occurs with C. chlorostyla but flowers slightly earlier. The midlobe can sometimes have extra calli in 2-3 to distinct parallel rows.

Key features

Generally larger size, green column top and extra calli on the labellum, alongside two main rows between the labellum wings.
