New Zealand has over 160 species of Native Orchid
They possess small, delicate, exquisite flowers which come in a vast array of colours and forms.
Found from the coastline to the alpine herb-fields, these shy creatures are a much overlooked part of the New Zealand Native Flora.
This site gives descriptions & photos of most of the recognised species, along with details on where to find them, the flowering times, online editions of the Native Orchid Group's Journals ... and a whole lot more.
160 species are illustrated and described in the Photo Section
