Flowers September - December
An uncommon & sparse species found
under light forest & scrub with poor soils.
Labellum mid-lobe dark maroon edged
with long marginal calli. Has a slender,
wiry stem covered in short hairs.

Flowers November - January
Found in high altitude scrub and
grasslands in the north, and also
in beech forests in the south. White
flowers with red bars on the labellum
side-lobes, lamina and inner column.

Flowers November - January
Found in high altitude scrub and
grasslands in the South Island.
Similar in appearance to S lyallii,
but the flowers are larger, with broad
oval sepals and petals.

Flowers November - December
Known only from mature kanuka scrub
in the Nelson area. 1 to 2 flowers,
usually white but sometimes pale pink.
Dorsal sepal stands almost erect in fully
open flowers and the tip recurves.
