PLANT: Terrestrial tuberous herb.
Larger in size than other
Nematoceras trilobum aggregate.

LEAVES: Single, tri-lobed, veined, to 45 x 45mm. Usually similar in width and length. Distinctly petiolate on a long stalk.

FLOWER: Solitary. Up to 15mm across. Almost black in colour. Always below the leaf. Lateral sepals very long and erect. Petals shorter and drooping. Dorsal sepal rounded and blunt. Edge of the labellum smooth.

FLOWERING TIME:
September - November.

HABITAT: Stream-sides, damp ground, and moderate shade.

CONSERVATION STATUS: Data Deficient.

NOTES: This is the original Nematoceras trilobum s.s. as described by JD Hooker in 1853. Had until recently been tag-named Nematoceras "Trotters".
